What is the IJ Network Tool and what can you do with IJ Network Tool?
IJ Network Tool is a utility that allows you to display and change machine network settings. This is installed when the machine is set up.
To use the machine through a LAN, make sure you have the necessary equipment for the connection type, such as the access point or LAN cable.
Do not start IJ Network Tool when printing and do not print when IJ Network Tool is running.
If the security function of your security software is enabled, a message may appear warning that Canon software is trying to access the network. If a warning message appears, set the security software to always allow access.
IJ Network Tool has been verified to work on Windows XP, however, IJ Network Tool does not support Switching Users Quickly. It is recommended to exit the IJ Network Tool when changing users.
To change printer network settings using IJ Network Tool, the printer must be connected via LAN.
If No Driver is displayed for the name, combine the port with the printer.
If Not Found is displayed for status, check the following:
The wireless router is turned on.
When using a wired LAN, the LAN cable is connected properly.
If the printer on the network is not detected, make sure the printer is turned on and click Update. It may take a few minutes to detect the printer. If the printer has not been detected, connect the machine and computer with the USB cable and click Update.
If the printer is being used from another computer, the screen displayed tells you about this condition.
